Project idea

The project is based on an urban solution of the vision of the future of the southern part of the city of Mladá Boleslav, which needs an environment for a new generation of city residents. The proposed building therefore responds to the main target group of young families with children. The community center with a kindergarten serves as a social meeting of people, available services and culture. The building is located on a plot with the number 1132/1 near the bus stop and the monorail stop.
The organic matter of the building responds to the surrounding buildings, the functional content of the building, the terrain, sunshine and is based on an urban solution. Shading is based on the need to shade individual areas depending on the time of day.
The connection to the adjacent Štěpánka park is important, which is incorporated into the terrain break in the underground floor in the north of the plot. The floor is thus connected directly to the bike path on the slope along the building. In addition to spaces for public meetings and kindergartens, the building also offers opportunities for the development of business activities and activities in rentable commercial premises.

Project description

The building has 3 floors above ground and one floor underground. A separate unit consists of a kindergarten. The main entrance floor contains all the main functions of the community center for the public - the entrance floor of the kindergarten with its playroom and dining room, including access to an outdoor playground, the entrance floor of the community center with reception and cafe with adjacent adjoining hall. The multi-purpose hall is designed effectively for a wide range of cultural and social activities and for impact events has a bathroom for event participants in the basement by the main staircase. In the central part of the hall, there is a circular opening in the ceiling slab, thus creating the effect of a high hall and a gallery gallery for the purpose of increasing the number of spectators. On the adjoining 2nd floor there are already commercial rentable spaces and a gallery with a toilet by the main staircase, and in the part of the kindergarten the same disposition of the second class is repeated as on the ground floor. The whole 3 floors are again designed as divided into a part for a kindergarten with classrooms and a part of a community center. The part with the classes can be connected both by the entrance for the kindergarten and by a barrier-free lift from the commercial part. The office space on the third floor will serve as shared offices for start-ups and entrepreneurs with the possibility of training and small conferences. This part of shared office space can very effectively shape the strength of the local community in developing personal skills and provides opportunities for innovation for residents.

Technical information

Construction system is a combination of columns and walls made of reinforced concrete with infill light masonry YTONG. All main stairs are designed of reinforced concrete. The roof is flat with asphalt strips. The perimeter cladding consists of the SCHÜCO Parametric System, with a column spacing of 1500 mm. Heating can use a central heat distribution system around the city, but it is designed separately with gas boilers and solar panels. An air-conditioning unit with recuperation is designed for ventilation, in a large part of the building there is also the possibility of natural ventilation.
