Project idea

The idea of the project arises as an exchange between vegetation, architecture and inhabitants, connecting all of them as a great symbiotic organism, in which the pedestrian has priority rather than the vehicle to strengthen the proposal for community life. Nature shapes the design of the project from the implementation of orchards, ramps in the ground and buried housing typologies, implementation of a relationship of the project with nature. The heights and scale of the immediate context are also taken into account for the proposal of typologies of homes and commercial premises.

Project description

The project arises due to the massive existence of housing prototypes that degrade neighborhood life, the environment and fragment social relations. The design allows a harmonious relationship with the context and improves the quality of life of the inhabitants, incorporating natural elements in daily coexistence. Taking into account the climatic and topographic conditions, duplex dwelling typologies are raised above ground level and buried typologies below ground level, generating an accessible green roof that allows continuity to the natural green axis. For the design of the housing typologies, all the necessary spaces were taken into account to carry out all the activities inside and outside, including the option of work, so that the houses are flexible and adapt to the changing needs of the inhabitants.

Technical information

Steel structure is used due to its high strength, durability and lightness that allows to form modules with 6-meter axes and flexibility inside. The appropriate foundation for the project was previously calculated after carrying out a soil study and isolated plinths, rectangular steel columns filled with 30 cm x 30 cm concrete and steel beams confirmed by profiles were implemented.
