Project idea

There's a gap in the middle of the Flaminio district in Rome. A void that lies halfway between a police barracks and what will soon become the City of Science. The goal of the project was to fill this space with housing units, taking care to leave room for a public square in front of the Museum to be.

Project description

Instead of treating the site according to custom, the idea is to create, in addition to a more classic multi-storey linear building, a residential complex of single-family units. The houses are modular, composable according to different arrangement schemes to create always different spatial solutions. These different compositions lead to the definition of outdoor spaces in between modules, declined as small semi-private and semi-public squares at the same time.
