Project idea

The basic idea was to reconstruct an unused granary in Vilémov, which stands next to the town hall. My intention was to create a more purposeful place. The village lacked a bakery and a cafe, so I designed here for the 1st floor. I combined the 2nd and 3rd floors and used it as a small library where people can bring their own books and borrow others. I sold a granary to the garden with a glass superstructure. The garden with a small playground also serves as a seating area where you can sit with a book from the library.

Project description

The topic of the studio work is to create an architectural study of the monument restoration, including the design of a new use assigned
historic building. The basic guide will be the intention of the owner of the building - use for cultural purposes with exhibition spaces of the village and
municipal office. However, other ideas and ideas supporting the revitalization of the place are also possible on the basis of the conclusions of the analyzes.

Technical information

Within the school, we measured the granary ourselves and created our drawings according to the measurments. Then we drew from them and developed them into our visualizations, drawings and plans.
