Project idea

Çeliktepe and Emniyetevleri Neighborhoods are two of the busiest areas on Büyükdere Street. Their location is restricted by high-rise buildings. These two intense and inexperienced neighborhoods have their own but inadequate areas of gathering after a disaster. The gathering area of the Çeliktepe Quarter is the Kardelen Park, and the gathering area of the Security Houses is Bosnia and Herzegovina Park. Both areas do not have the capacity and potential to reach these dense neighborhoods at the moment of the disaster.
At the intersection of the Çeliktepe and Emniyetevleri neighborhoods and the Leven - 4.Levent axis, there is the IETT Bus Garage located between the high buildings. IETT Bus Garage has a very interesting position. Büyükdere Street, despite the boundary of the neighboring buildings unlike the rise of the ground elevation and valuable on the land still remains the function of the bus garage. He has been auctioned many times but has been sold out but these tenders have been terminated. My suggestion as a place of urban articulation is precisely in this area.

Project description

This area, which will be used as a gathering area after the disaster in my project, also protects the bus garage by gaining new functions. Buses waiting in the night garage at night and working time outside the working time of people, cinema, restaurant or dance workshop to use as a function to gain. With the touches of the interiors of the buses, making the seats collectible makes the interiors available for different purposes. There are ramps that hold the walls of the well in a well that will descend 30 meters in contrast to its surroundings. The buses that will be placed on these ramps serve their environment with new functions they have gained before and after a possible disaster.

Technical information

In the middle of the well, there is a wooden pile rising 50 meters above the well to say I am here. This wooden pile is being collected from the surrounding constructions, as a paving construction plank, windows and doors are piled up to rise. This creates cavernous gaps that are open for use when stacking. Space volumes serve the use of surrounding people in the pre-disaster situation. Circulation which connects the blanks and the whole of the stack is provided by two different ramps.
In the post-disaster scenario, people are expected to construct temporary shelters and collectively build their own temporary life with the materials coming out of the stack, which is dismantled from top to bottom using ramp circulation. The water and electricity needs of these shelters created by simple architectural techniques provide the buses that are already there. New functions are added to the bus functions that are brought to the current situation after the disaster.
