Idea projektu

The project idea aimed to conceptualize the development as a new centrality within the city of Rabat.
The site offers a distinctive chance to establish a vibrant urban hub in Rabat, strategically positioned on key thoroughfares to foster functional diversity.

Popis projektu

The project was conceived as a new centrality for Rabat, with the primary focus on entertainment. All spaces revolve around the heart of the project, which is the public esplanade featuring a military museum at its center—a nod to the site's previous use as a military camp. The components of the project include residential areas, sports facilities, office spaces, a shopping center, and an entertainment zone.

Special attention was given to the exterior design, characterized by distinctive organic forms. The goal was to establish a sense of continuity between each space, creating the impression that all areas seamlessly merge into one cohesive experience.

Technické informace

Each building in the project serves a distinct function, leading to unique forms and materials characteristic of their purposes. The office spaces are entirely composed of glass curtain walls, creating a transparent and modern appearance. The museum at the center of the project features a geometric shape, intentionally contrasting with the organic forms of the public esplanade.

The sports facility comprises buildings with individually crafted facades, predominantly using reinforced concrete as the structural material and wooden cladding for the exterior. In the entertainment zone, there are three types of buildings. The first type includes structures with varying heights, utilizing reinforced concrete, overlapping slabs, and wooden sunshade-clad facades. Also they are all arranged side by side, following the circular framework of the zone.
The second type involves two constructions with inclined glass curtain walls. The third type is a cube-shaped building entirely adorned with curved wooden sunshades, providing an organic volumetric aesthetic.

To conclude, the most prominently used material throughout the project is wood
