Karachi is well known all over the world by its trade and financial center, commercial fishing is growing industry in karachi while in karachi there are three fihsing harbour currently operational a fish harbour karachi, fish harbour korangi and fish harbour ibrahim hyderi. Fish harbour karachi serves as a main commercial hub of fishing industry now a days this harbour has become the conjestion and over crowding of vessels this effects in the harbour operation,markets and its entire facilities. A fish harbour at ibrahim hyderi has a potential to shift and accomadate the vessels but the major issues are facilities and infrastructure which are not available as compare to karachi fish harbour. The idea is to provide better birthing and supporting facilities to accommodate vessels which uplift the industry as well as socio economic issues of fihser men by providing training centers and market place.

The Design concept is extracted from fish bone and it is decided after case studies and site morphology of existing jetty. The Architectural style is postmodern, the overall project is design is such a way that, every spaces of market and auction halls having good ventilation and circulation.

Technické informace

The lightweight structure is used with combination of steel and Aluminum. Floating jetties are used for birthing of vessels which provide ease and flexibility to accommodate vessels.
