VIVID bio-energy center is located at Cyberjaya, design to be an innovative hub on transforming energy with a high level of technical and urban demand on the site. It is a center where citizen is taught to be aware on the energy usage issue. Also, the building provided spaces to carry out experiment and prototype on energy outcome. It chooses to manifest the desire for visibility and urban quality. For the concept, others than transforming landscape waste into energy, new technology such as Pavegan, Kidnetic, Solaronix and Eco panels are introduced. As a sum, VIVID is an innovative hub for learning, collaborating, socializing and mainly is to innovative new technology to the citizen.

The site is analysed with Depthmap software, where it provided actual information on the solid and void, together with the circulation surrounding the site. By using the urban elements- paths, district, edges, nodes and landmarks, the building design to be fully responsive to the neighbor and environment. For the contribution, the issues on the site are taking into planning, where the citizen around Cyberjaya needed the most, and bringing up the proposal to upgrade the life style in Cyberjaya. To maintain Cyberjaya as an innovative religion in KL, high technology and sustainable ideas are presented.

The concept of VIVID is focusing on transforming green waste to energy, and the hub will acting as an intermediate hub to transfer the outcome of the experiment, provide specimen and product prototype to the stalk holder. To provide a high quality working space to carry out experiment, at the same time some of the spaces open to public to spread the alertness, VIVID is divided into four main space planning: innovation, collaboration, learning and socializing, in which all functions are clearly and identified.

Technické informace

To maximize the reputation for the site, VIVID is separated into two towers, where a green path is design to be a shaded pocket urban landscape between them. Related back to the site analysis, with the proposal of the green path that served as a shortest path to connect with districts around the site, visitors are brought into the towers and directly boosted up the activities on the site. The form of the building is representing the high technology in Cyberjaya, in which the breathing façade and unique form of it performing a functional and aesthetic language of advance scientist knowledge to the citizen.

Spoluautoři

The interior qualities are enhanced with the arrangement of void and solid. With the assistance of smart windows, 90% of the spaces are maximized with openings and positive views and natural daylight is used to transform the spatial context. Voids acting as a central in between the spaces to create a seamless and connection from space to space, at the same time adding to the ambiance of the public areas.
