Idea projektu

Design idea is shaped in the awareness of the impact pf educational structures on children psychology and development. The children who spend most of the day at school are divided into floors and seperated buildings in age groups.

Popis projektu

In first stage, the form was created by considering the navel and leaf parts of the flower motif. Then the needed m² for each age group were determined. These specified m² are divided into two seperated groups and floors, which are education and administration. The education departments were preferred of the ground floors and close to the ground floors. And the students were isolated from the vertical circulation.
In the second stage, the mass was detonated so that the classes could get enough air and daylight, and additional connections were provided to the main administrative mass located in the navel. While these passages seperated school buildings from the administrative mass, they also kept the structure in compact way.
At last stage, the material of the facade element used and the school buildings were differentiated from each other. The laths in this facade element directed the wind approaching the building and providing natural ventilation, as well as refracting some of the sun rays coming into the building and preventing overheating.

Technické informace

Sustainability had became an important issue for architecture. The use of rainwayer in this regard will significantly reduce natural resource consumption. However, despite the unfavorable precipitation regime that makes use of the system unfavorable due to climate change, the preferred green roof relieves the water costs of the system by absorbing some of the rain water coming from the roof and slowing down the rest. In addition to this advantages of green roof, it has advantages such as providing thermal insulation inside the building, preventing the heating of the building environment, providing sound insulation, filtering dirt and dus and one of the most important is a recyclable roofing. This system stores water for use in the botanical garden and application gardens planned for each school unit.
