Idea projektu

The resort was designed to give different surrounding experiences (spatial narrations) alongnwith the flow of the contours and rubber grids. It has specially designed to minimize the impact on the greenery when the constructions are going on while being both aesthetically pleasing and complimentary towards the surroundings. So the idea is to proposition of temporary structure and how it locates in such a sensible site
without harming the surrounding flora and fauna.

Popis projektu

Rubber cultivation is rampant in the area, without cutting existing rubber trees and the layout has designed between two rows of rubber trees and keeping them without any change to the environment. As a result, a linear-shaped grid form was selected to fit the narrow area between the rubber tree rows. The structure has elevated from the ground to keep the tolerance for wildlife existing movement on the other hand visitors would be able to observe the animals around the site. The project act as the life cycle- responsive design. The idea is to let nature to take over the building. Even though after removing the temporary structures trying to keep the site like it before. Linear pathway along the main building is the dominant space of the design. The rhythmic flow of the closed and enclosed spaces make the design interesting by providing a journey through the building. The curiosity of the visitor is increased by this layout planning and give different experience in each space by providing enormous views. The basic materials which I have used in the project are steel, treated timber, glass, rubble, and concrete.

Technické informace

Environment responsiveness
The whole structure can be dismantled very easily due to the easy joint and construction which have used. As life cycle responsive design, I’m trying to let nature take over the building and to let the undergrowth shrubs to spread over the land. Elevated structure with steel screw pile remains as the less damage to the ground and that touch ground lightly. As well as lifting off the ground will help to resist soil erosion which is vulnerable in such a sloping site. Due to the perpendicular alignment to the contour lines, it needs to keep propositions for the cross ventilation. So the timber fins used for the cross ventilation. All have temporary details. As an example – the timber made with “c” channel framework and the timber plates has overlap each other without using any fixed joint.

Aesthetics
The language and architectural style of the building celebrates a vermicular plus modern technology aesthetics appeal over building & this language was picked to integrate the design in between the highly dense forest and rubber plantation. The whole building has created to merge with the greenery by using vegetation.
