A conceptual design for a concrete and cement company headquarters in Alexandria, inspired by the geometric form of tetrapods found along the city’s shoreline. The project transforms the tetrapod’s shape into an architectural language that defines the plan and structure. Using exposed concrete as the primary material, the design reflects both the industrial identity of the company and its connection to the coastal context.
The project addresses both functional and conceptual needs through an architectural solution that merges industrial identity with contextual relevance.
The spatial organization responds to the operational needs of a concrete and cement manufacturing company, while the architectural form—derived from tetrapod geometry—creates a strong visual identity and symbolic presence.
The use of exposed concrete reflects both the material produced by the company and a raw, minimalistic aesthetic that expresses strength and honesty in design.
The project also considers its site in Alexandria, aligning the architectural concept with the coastal environment through form and symbolism. The integration of mass, material, and context delivers a coherent and complete architectural response.
The project adopts an industrial interior style, utilizing exposed ventilation pipes along the ceiling to reflect the raw and functional aesthetic.
The interior includes mechanical supply systems, as well as a mix of natural and artificial plants to enhance the atmosphere.
Natural lighting enters through large glass openings, complemented by a combination of direct and indirect lighting using LED profiles and ceiling lights.
The lighting strategy merges cool and warm tones to create a balanced and visually pleasant environment.
Circulation paths are carefully planned to ensure easy and intuitive access to all areas, supporting both functionality and user experience.
