Project idea

The convention centre is designed with a robust structural system that combines I-section steel columns with a flat truss roof, ensuring both spatial efficiency and architectural elegance.

Project description

The plan adopts a semi-circular (fan-shaped) layout, which is efficient for audience-focused functions like auditoriums or conference halls.

Circulation appears to radiate outward from a central point, allowing ease of access and clear zoning of spaces.

The radial plan allows for hierarchical spatial organization, ensuring important areas like the auditorium are centrally positioned.

Technical information

The I-section columns, known for their strength and minimal footprint, create a rhythmic structural grid that supports large, unobstructed spans—ideal for multipurpose halls and flexible event layouts. Above, a flat truss system distributes roof loads efficiently, enabling a low-profile ceiling that maintains an open, airy atmosphere without compromising structural integrity.
