Project idea

Under the impact of rapid urban development, continuous occupation of rural space and modern lifestyles, many rural settlements in China, including the design site "Wengding Village", have hidden many problems, such as residential building forms and building functions. , street space and public service facilities have been unable to meet the diverse and convenient living needs of rural local people, while local culture is disappearing, and people have lost their emotional support.

Project description

We are faced with the dual requirements of inheriting local customs and improving residents' living standards. The design is based on the principle of reshaping the memory of the local village and improving the quality of life.

The building is constructed using local wood, mortise and tenon structure, etc.
