Project idea

In recent years, many rural construction cases spread widely in the mass media. The countryside appears mainly as a background, providing architects with a place environment and natural conditions different from the city. The existing architectural qualities of rural areas, such as local materials, traditional constructions and spatial order, often become the most cherished design starting point for architects. How to use these materials and what kind of resources to complete construction, in most cases, the voice of rural areas is weak. Such works of rural construction were actually intended for urban people.

This does not see the value of urban services in rural construction. The point here is that it is necessary to distinguish this form from another form of rural construction, which is rural construction for the countryside. From the background to the foreground, the countryside makes an irresistible sound. From design to use, the countryside always occupies the core position. Rural construction for the countryside is not a tonic for urban life, but an autonomous extension of rural life, which is actually the main way of rural settlement evolution and transformation.

Although the latter is difficult to present in the form of graduation project, I believe that a good rural construction must be the result of the joint voice of the urban subject and the rural subject. Although this design is more inclined to the former, because after all, tourists are the main users of the building, but the positive interaction between the building and the villagers is also taken into consideration.

Project description

This graduation project is located in Yantou Village (also known as Yantou Ancient Village), Xikou Town, Fenghua, Zhejiang. The natural village environment is beautiful, the traffic is convenient, has a relatively profound

Historical and cultural foundation. The village has superior natural landscape resources and prosperous industries. It is a famous historical and cultural village in Zhejiang Province. It has certain industrial foundation in agriculture and tourism, etc. At present, it is actively working to create a "national AAA level tourist attraction".

The graduation design is derived from the actual project commissioned by the village committee of Yantou Village. The basic functional requirements of the building include: ① the bamboo shoot culture Museum (including the visitor service center), no less than 2000 square meters, the building height is less than or equal to 12 meters; (2) No less than 1000 square meters of bamboo shoot trading market (including industrial process exhibition area, etc.); (3) The number of beds shall be no less than 50 standard rooms, and the building height shall be no more than three floors. (4) New or rebuilt catering leisure buildings (groups), the building height is not more than three floors; ⑤ Other functional buildings deemed necessary.

In principle, the location of the above buildings is not limited and reasonable.

Technical information

In the process of design, although different methods and strategies will be adopted according to different sites and building types, there are also common strategies and techniques for dealing with rural buildings, which will connect the three groups of architectural design from beginning to end:

1. Typology: Images such as laneway, courtyard, patio and tile hill constantly cross the architectural space, making the viewer between modern and traditional. Through the modern interpretation of the traditional spatial pattern of the village, the old things are brought back to the new, while the architecture meets the modern function and construction, the traditional charm is continued.

2. Material construction: According to the understanding of Yantou Village and the wider area around it, the masonry system around Wapan is selected as the core. This practice is very common in the rural areas of Ningbo, the specific practice is to extract the local common brick and tile mixed masonry, the construction method is simple, has a high degree of applicability, scientific and artistic.

Iii. Texture scale: According to the estimation of the depth of the average rural house, the depth range of 8-12m is determined, and at the same time, the method of breaking the whole into pieces is adopted to avoid the generation of too large blocks as far as possible. In terms of architectural outline, it integrates the architectural outline of traditional folk houses and the outline of the background mountain, and uses the single slope as the basic element to outline the building.
