A place for land union. From the compression of the territory, the behavior of nature and man with this.

Project description

It intends to create a sustainable design of the spaces, built with local and traditional materials in an innovative way, under the concept of spatial flexibility that allows the durability of these materials and therefore the durability of the architecture.
The idea of the project is based on the reinterpretation of culture, analyzing its housing modules, barns, etc. of the local culture and their evolution, their climatic adaptation to the site, morphology, materiality and organization around a central space, and the relationship between them.

Technical information

It proposes a system of compacted earth "boxes", around the green showground, linked by a circulation with existing buildings, accompanied by a set of lights and shadows that reflect part of Burkina Faso's identity. This project allows the construction in stages thanks to its modulation and the flexibility of the spaces that allows the exchange between users and between the different cultures that inhabit it. Seeking to call society to intervene in the place and turn this process into a participatory change with a great sense of belonging and resilience.
