Project idea

The theme of this case study is the revitalization of an unused amphitheater in Ouagadougou – the capital of Burkina Faso. The existing buildings are not suitable for all the activities they want to follow. To accomplish the needs of the people we decided the next things: The design is approached by dividing the project request into individual objects-pavillions according to function into different zones,Smaller buildings are placed under one roof structure so that people can move predominantly in shaded parts of the site.

Project description

The first buildings are the Labo and Show building, where throught these spaces leads the main entrance for visitors .The entrance is on the north side so in the south side there is more space for visitors to park. The other 4 smaller rooms are photographic studio, recording studio, editing video, and media classroom. There are sanitary facilities part belonging to this instructional pavilion.
Then is there a building for accommodation for actors. These buildings have various heights .
The work zone is located on the original location of the theatre´s background but slightly pushed to the boundary of the property due to the enlarged stage. The work building is divided in 3 small buildings under one roof structure so there is an open air terrace for the people to move in the shades.
