Project description

The topic of this bachelor's thesis is the design of a family house in a town called Cesky Krumlov. Selected parts of the range of architectural study have been detailed as technical documentation for building construction. The design is developed as a competition assignment “Ceskeho sobestacneho domu” [“The czech energy independent house”] for year 2019. The aim of this thesis is to design a small low energy or passive energy family house for a family of four members and maximum of 80 m2 floor square, which would be half a year energy independent. Important requirement of this assignment is to join house interior space with a garden, where young family, with two children, would spend most of their time. Disposition, material and technological solution of the family house was projected to maximise function with respect to housing development in the local area.

Technical information

The house is 65% days a year independent of external energy. We can find technologies like PV panels, heat pumps,
ventilation with heat recovery in the house.
