The design concept draws inspiration from the historic Shali Fortress in Siwa Oasis, celebrating its unique architectural identity, cultural heritage, and deep connection to nature. The project merges traditional Siwan elements with modern functionality, creating a serene and timeless interior that reflects the essence of Shali — simplicity, warmth, and authenticity.
Natural materials such as palm wood, and stone were used to enhance the sense of locality and sustainability, while the warm earthy tones and soft lighting bring a feeling of calm and harmony. The design aims to immerse visitors in the spirit of Siwa — a place where history, culture, and nature coexist beautifully.
Inspired by the timeless beauty and authenticity of Siwa Oasis, this boutique hotel design celebrates the rich cultural heritage of the region while embracing modern comfort and minimalism.
The project takes its main inspiration from the Shali Fortress, reflecting its raw textures, organic forms, and earthy tones. The design follows the Wabi-Sabi philosophy — finding beauty in imperfection, simplicity, and nature.
By using local materials such as karshef, palm wood, and natural stone, the project aims to achieve harmony between architecture and environment. The warm lighting, soft forms, and natural palette create a calm and soulful experience for visitors, allowing them to feel connected to the land and its history.
This project represents the spirit of Siwa — authentic, peaceful, and deeply rooted in tradition.
