Idea projektu

Ripple Station is a conceptual urban intervention designed as a catalyst for social interaction, movement, and regeneration. The project responds to the increasing disconnection in public spaces and aims to create a new typology of transit hubs that serve not only as transportation nodes but as cultural and community anchors. Inspired by the ripple effect in water, the station expands its influence outward into the urban fabric, activating surrounding spaces with programs that invite gathering, learning, and interaction.

Objectives:
– Reimagine the traditional transit station as a multifunctional urban space
– Facilitate seamless flow of people while encouraging pause and interaction
– Integrate cultural, environmental, and digital elements within the transit experience
– Promote sustainable urban mobility and community-driven spaces

Popis projektu

The Ripple Station project consists of a multi-layered urban hub that combines transportation functions with public, cultural, and recreational programs. The core structure includes a central platform with fluid circulation paths and transitional zones inspired by natural ripples.

Surrounding this hub are green areas, interactive installations, open-air event spaces, and flexible zones for pop-up retail and workshops. The project establishes a continuous relationship between movement and pause—between transit and dwelling.

Scope includes:
– Central transit core and platform network
– Cultural pavilion and flexible public program zones
– Landscaped green belts and shaded rest areas
– Digital wayfinding, interactive displays, and smart lighting
– Integration with bike paths and pedestrian networks
