Idea projektu

The concept of the architectural project of the winery is based on the reinterpretation of The Shape of the ancient Georgian wine vessel kvevri. It was he who became the inspiration for
formation of the building. Kvevri is considered the first vessel in the history of mankind, in which wine was produced and stored. This tradition formed the basis not only of the technical process,
but also the cultural image of wine as part of nature and time.

Popis projektu

The key spatial element was the upper skylight, through which natural light enters the most important parts of the building — restaurant and production facilities. It resembles a hole in the upper part of the qvevri, through which air and light entered. Light here becomes not only a functional element, but also a metaphor for openness, purity and respect for the traditional wine process.
From the street side, the building is designed as a blind volume without a single window-this facade emphasizes isolation and creates a sense of privacy, thereby separating the winery from outside noise and bustle. This deliberate architectural decision forms a clear boundary between public and private. From the courtyard, on the contrary, the building opens completely: large panoramic windows visually connect the interior with the vineyards, the garden and the surrounding landscape, enhancing the feeling of peace and natural inclusion in the context of the place.
The project pays special attention to the interactive interaction of visitors with the process of winemaking. The space has transparent windows to the production halls, through which it is possible to observe the stages of wine production. Part of the tasting area is located underground, in close proximity to production facilities, with integrated windows into the workshops, which enhances the effect of wiring. Thus, the guest can not only taste the wine, but also literally look into the process of its creation, which creates a deep and unforgettable connection with the place.
