The concept of the project is based on working with geometry and light. The original premises had complex design constraints, including massive protruding columns and clearly defined corners. To avoid this and create a comfortable environment, the project implements an architectural shell with rounded corners, which visually smooth out the geometry, “hide” the columns and form a continuous, integral volume.
Additionally, hidden lighting is built in along the perimeter, as well as along the entire height of the columns, emphasizing the radius shapes and enhancing the effect of visual lightness. The space is perceived as soft, muted, intuitive. Thanks to these architectural techniques, the interior becomes not just a background for the cafe, but an active element of perception, forming its uniqueness.
The project of the café-confectionery solves several problems at once: creation of a comfortable, functional public space and formation of a recognizable visual image due to architectural solutions.
The basis of the design approach is the construction of new walls with radius roundings, which not only mask the structural elements of the building, but also set the character of the entire interior. The rounded walls merge into the ceiling, and the integrated lighting along the perimeter emphasizes their shape, creating uniform, soft lighting without visible sources. The space creates an enveloping atmosphere due to the use of smooth lines, reflected light and rounded corners. When people enter the room, a feeling of soft space is created, which is associated with coffee foam. The project does not use visible light sources, visitors are in an airy atmosphere of diffused light.
The first floor is more intended for continuous visits, the second floor is a more closed space with a deep aura. There are no unnecessary details in the interior, everything looks uniform, expensive and sophisticated.
The details around the columns and the partition between the kitchen area and the barista area are made of plasterboard and covered with microcement. All walls, floors and ceilings are also covered with microcement of the same shade.
The seating area is organized rhythmically and logically, with sufficient space between the furniture groups. The furniture was selected taking into account the plasticity of the walls - rounded shapes, soft materials and a light palette prevail. All surfaces are wear-resistant and meet sanitary requirements.
The upholstered furniture has a light shade, the legs are made of coffee-colored wood. The tables are made of coffee-colored "liquid glass" and have a single streamlined shape. The bar chairs are transparent, made of polycarbonate of the same coffee color, this complements the airiness of the room. The bar counter is made of monolithic concrete.
The movement of personnel around the partition is not interrupted by doors, creating a sense of flow in space. All communications are hidden from the eyes of visitors, even the coffee machine is not visible, thus no visual noise is created.
On the partition and display case there is a liquid crystal screen with a menu and a video sequence, which shows the preparation of coffee and bakery products.
