Idea projektu

The idea-concept of this project is born from the depths of the Belarusian ethnic group, weaving into its basis ancient legends about four primordial elements: earth, water, air, fire. Its architectural form seems to reveal a chicory flower - a modest plant found in traditional ornaments of Belarus and adorning the endless expanses of our edges.

Popis projektu

The project embodies the spirit of the Belarusian ethnic group, combining at its core ancient legends about four primordial elements - earth, water, air, fire. Its architectural form symbolically reveals the chicory flower, known for its unpretentiousness and vitality, adorning the vastness of Belarus and found in national ornaments. The building is made of glass, creating a feeling of lightness, transparency and interaction with the environment. Its roof, like an opening chicory flower, forms a dynamic silhouette with sharp petal angles, emphasizing the energy of growth and harmony of nature. Each element is reflected in architectural forms and spatial solutions:
The earth is the monumentality of the structure, the silhouette of a flower on the roof of a building.
Water - blue glass surfaces that reflect the world around them.
Air - lightness and transparency of the structure, open spaces, natural ventilation connecting the interior with the outside.
Fire - red glass inserts on the roof, symbolizing the energy and vitality of the elements of fire.
The building is located on the territory of the embankment of the city of Brest, next to which there is not only urban infrastructure, but also a park with the Mukhavets River, which most conveniently emphasizes its idea.
The architectural idea of the four elements is reflected not only in space, but also in the very philosophy of cooking. Earth, water, air and fire become key elements that define the process of creating each taste and texture. This project is not just an architectural object, but a space of legends, where the elements of nature are intertwined with Belarusian culture. Its patterns and glass form resemble folk ornaments, weaving traditional motifs and symbols of the power of nature into modern architecture.

Technické informace

The TERRAflame cafe project is designed for 50 visitors inside the building + 25 seats at the seasonal expansion site, which meets all the requirements for the area of premises designed for a given number of people. The supporting structure of the building is a steel frame, which serves as a support for continuous glazing of facades - two-chamber double-glazed windows with thermal insulation (thermal break in the profile). The roof of the building is also glass, but with the use of cobalt in the glass for a blue shade. Red glass inserts containing iron oxide are used on the underside of the roof structure. To protect against excessive overheating and visual comfort, fiber concrete inserts are used in some places of the building and roof structures.
