Idea projektu

The proposed project covers a total area of 5,200 square meters and is situated within the campus of Hanoi University, located in Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi, Vietnam. The facility is primarily designed to function as a multi-purpose indoor arena, serving both as a sports hall and a performance venue for cultural and artistic events. It offers a seating capacity of up to 600 during sports competitions and approximately 1,000 for concerts and entertainment programs.

The architectural program addresses a wide range of user groups and functional demands, including standard visitors, VIP guests, athletes, performing artists, referees, media representatives, administrative personnel, university students, and service staff. Spaces are carefully organized to ensure smooth circulation, privacy where needed, and operational efficiency. The design successfully fulfills complex requirements related to zoning, accessibility, and visual comfort, especially concerning audience sightlines and viewing angles.

Conceptually, the building reflects a thoughtful dialogue between tradition and modernity. While located in an area rich in cultural and historical context, the structure embodies a contemporary and dynamic architectural language. Traditional Vietnamese motifs are abstracted and reinterpreted in a subtle yet meaningful way, creating a harmonious balance between cultural identity and innovative form.

From a sustainability standpoint, the project incorporates a responsive façade system designed to minimize solar heat gain while maximizing natural ventilation and daylight. Special attention is also given to universal accessibility, ensuring full inclusion and convenience for people with disabilities.

Overall, the project aspires to not only meet functional and aesthetic expectations but also to contribute positively to the educational and cultural life of Hanoi University and its broader community.
