The proposed building serves as a small water sports centre in the area of the brno dam - Kozi horka. The main purpose is to offer visitors refreshments and water equipment rental. The proposal thus responds to the needs of a recreational area with a high frequency of movement in the summer season. The proposal also creates a new social centre that fits harmoniously into the natural environment.
The layout of the building is divided into two functional parts - rental and gastro zone.1. floor provides all the basic functions - storages, staff facilities, toilets and changing rooms with showers. It also offers a number of smaller street stall style refreshment kiosks. The glazed passageway in the centre of the building not only lets daylight into the deeper parts, but also creates visual contact with the greenery of the Kozi horka. 2nd floor has a bar with an open terrace, which offers beautiful views of nature and water surface of the dam and becomes a dominance of the entire building complex.
The building is designed as a lightweight wooden structure using spruce timber and timber cladding. The thermal insulation is complemented by polycarbonate panels, which serve as a facade element - both visually and ecologically functional. The base plate guarantees stability in the ground while maintaining ease of implementation. The concept respects sustainability and strives for minimal visual and ecological burden on the area.
