Interior design for a children's art studio

Daria Zakharova

Idea projektu

The goal of the project is to develop a unique interior for an art studio that will help increase children's motivation for creativity, develop artistic skills and form a positive attitude towards learning.

Popis projektu

The scope of the design solution includes: an analytical part, where the customer's requirements, the characteristics of the target audience are studied, the space and technical limitations are analyzed. A conceptual design is developed, including a stylistic idea, selection of a color palette, materials and decorative elements, and sketch visualizations are created.
Taking into account the peculiarities of children's psychology and the way they perceive certain colors, I decided to make a layout solution in light, pastel shades with an accent color of burgundy, using soft, smooth shapes in the interior.
The first floor (see Fig. 7) is the hall area, balcony and bathroom. In the hall and on the balcony, I placed soft curved sofas so that parents who brought their children to classes could wait for them in a comfortable environment and relax.
The second floor is the main functional area, where children are directly involved in artistic activities. I made this space mainly in white shades, creating an imitation of a "white sheet". Here, the accent elements are also made in burgundy, namely modular children's tables, children's poufs and a rest area built into the shelving. Modular tables are good because they fit any scenario. They can be placed separately, thereby creating an individual place for each child, or connected to each other for collective work. After the layout solution was finally completed, I made a visualization in 3D format, which allows you to evaluate the final look of the interior

Technické informace

The climate zone and insolation issues were not ignored; in this case, the project included a roof with lantern lighting to ensure maximum illumination of the studio space. My project uses heated glass units, which solves the problem of precipitation accumulation on the glass roof.
