Idea projektu

We were tasked to provide a community enrichment facility that doubles as an evacuation center in the Philippines. It is supposed to house at least 200 families since the Philippines is a country where storm surge is adamant. While doing this, it is supposed to help enrich the site's community.

As a design solution, the designers took into consideration the concept of the city of the site which is SUMAKAH that stands for Suman, Manga, Kasoy, and Hamakah which are known delicacy of Antipolo (the city where it will stand) The designers' way of enriching the community is providing livelihood programs to the community while it doubles as an evacuation center when storm and typhoons hit.

Technické informace

The livelihood program introduced in the project is the very own delicacy, Suman and Hamakah. These products are also vital when it comes to the tourism part of the city therefore as the facility that will uphold its city's image, the designers thought of something that it can be remembered for. Demographics of the barangay were also taken into account therefore it caters to most of the target users which are the kids and working class of the barangay.
