Popis projektu

The form highlights the idea of shifting and rotating horizontal bars. This allows and supports our intent of privileging light and views towards the site identity. Resilience is achieved through renovating density of schools by considering factors such as entries, doors direction, classrooms replacement and its interior nature. Not only that but also moving into the smallest factor of the building and the one that is directly contacted by students and staff, which is the furniture. All these mentioned factors are revealed in the project with a different and special take to ease our way through the pandemic.

Technické informace

The site of the school is located in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, in a really live location that is surrounded by many heritage buildings and takes us back to the old essence of Sharjah. Therefore, this project emphasizes views to privilege the site identity. Also natural air ventilation and sun penetration into the building are one of the main strategies that were held, in order to ensure a resilient environment in the small world, which is the school.
