Idea projektu

Faculty of Dramatic Arts is located in New Belgrade, modernist part of Belgrade built in twentieth century. It is located in a modernist block 39 measuring 400 by 400 meters. Only small part of block is used for education while rest of block is unarticulated.
The goal was to create a new educational space whose architecture is a reaction to the modernist heritage and has connection with Faculty of Dramatic Arts

Popis projektu

The project is a response to the future of the education space with a focus on the growing importance of 3D printing in various fields, including architecture. The solution is a space that enables the development of a future way of industrial production that requires an educated workforce, which is why the inclusion of education in the production space is necessary. The principle of the production line is applied in organisation; the beginning of the line is a "base" whose role is to recieve the necessary materials. The second step of the production line is the space for the realization of 3d printing, which is connected to the space of education.

The next step is the warehouse from where the printed product will be delivered to consumers or displayed in the exhibition space within the complex.

The critique of New Belgrade is zoning that creates neglected and unsafe zones. Lack of human scale is another problem with a small selection of the possibilities of movement. By analyzing the movement, connecting significant existing and planned points, a structure was formed that provides users with a large number of options for horizontal and vertical movement.

The connection with the existing structure is physically achieved by a footbridge that connects the FDA with the exhibition space, and is socially connected by a square that is a common space for new and existing users.

Technické informace
