Idea projektu

The project is a hotel in the city of Tequila, Jalisco, Mexico. The project looks for provide a sensory tour that seeks the visitor to always find between each of the spaces generating opportunities to be surprised.

The hotel has single and double rooms, bungalows and other amenities such as wellness center, recreation center, private pools for guests of the apartments, outdoor and indoor pool, multipurpose room and a space to taste the best tequilas from Mexico. It also has a trein station integratied to the hotel to the “Jose Cuervo Express” train route. The complex extends over 32 hectares at 1200 meters above sea level, dominated by a beautiful landscape: arid, mountainous and with a large volcano worthy of a postcard. The proximity of the land to the area of ​​crops and areas without intervention, opens the possibility of using this area for agricultural, recreational and sports purposes. Through a detailed study of the site, it was determined that the developed volumes maintain a low urban profile so as not to interfere excessively with the landscape. It was also decided to use materials that help mimic it with the land.

Technické informace

It seeks to capture the iconic and heritage landscape of Tequila, therefore is oriented in parallel to those landscapes, the volcano and the city. It's FRAGMENT panoramic views regarding the functions that were performed in each space giving an image of the different environment depending on where the USER is. Therefore, the views of the rooms or bungalows are characterized by the view of the volcano. Instead the social functions visualize the city unified with the horizont.

On environmental matters, eco-friendly spaces were thought.
In order for the building to be sustainable, it must follow the first rule of any sustainable design, as is the correct ORIENTATION according to the nature of the environment where the land is located. Considering this the building is oriented to the south to take advantage of natural desolation and natural lighting.
In addition, its enclosure allows it to open and take advantage of the prevailing winds from the east and west for the renewal of air and natural cooling.
It has a rainwater collection system from the main access of the hotel, to satisfy the water mirrors and other facilities, the toilets.
