PROJECT - Sanitary block

It is a very simple project with a very straight forward design approach. According to the student “The idea of this project was to create a sanitary block, which would combine elegance and refinement with natural elements, which would create a calming and unique atmosphere”. Further the project consists of mainly two parts. The main area is where the sink and bathtub are placed, and the secondary area is where the toilet bowl and bidet were installed.

In general, Architectural design is a type of project activity aimed at creating an aesthetic and comfortable environment for human habitation. In short, it is the art of designing buildings and their construction. The main task of design in architecture is to find optimal building solutions, the use of various techniques, and the selection of materials to create comfortable and aesthetic conditions for life, work, and leisure.

The design process must rationalize different and sometimes contradictory requirements of aesthetics, the brief, budget, structure, regulations, climate, weather, security, privacy and so on, to create a unified whole. This can be overlaid by the adoption of design principles such as; balance, unity, movement, emphasis, contrast, space, alignment, and so on.

It would have been better, if more information is given on the above factors in this sanitary block design. First slide only provides the aesthetic approach. All other drawings are rather technical, and I am unable to see any new creations. Those are text book information and any technically competent person could access to them without much trouble.
