Předmětem návrhu je residenční výškový objekt v Beirutském přístavu. Návrh vychází z architektonicko-urbanistické
studie, která byla zpracována v rámci předdiplomního projektu. Jedná se o revitalizaci území zničeného výbuchem z roku 2020. K explozi v
Bejrútu, hlavním městě Libanonu, došlo 4. srpna 2020, kdy velké množství dusičnanu amonného uloženého v přístavu explodovalo a způsobilo nejméně 218 úmrtí, 7 000 zranění, škody na majetku ve výši 15 miliard USD a okolo 300 000 lidí se ocitlo bez domova. Náklad 2 750 tun látky byl předchozích šest let skladován ve skladu bez řádných bezpečnostních opatření poté, co byl zabaven libanonskými úřady opuštěné lodi. Explozi předcházel požár ve stejném skladu, ale od září 2021 je přesná příčina detonace stále předmětem vyšetřování. V současné době je území nevyužito, trosky nebyly odklizeny a přístav čeká na jeho nové využití. V rámci urbanistického řešení území bylo jednou z hlavních otázek přerušení výškového rozdílu mezi přístavem a starým Beirutem. V tomto místě nyní vede velice nepříznivě umístěná dálnice, která svou existencí tvoří bariéru mezi městem a pobřežím. Starý Beirut se v současné době nachází o 12-15 metrů výše, než samotný přístav. K vyřešení tohoto problému jsme přistupovali vytvořením jednotlivých platforem v rámci jednotlivých bloků. Ty vytvařejí pozvolný, pro pěšího snadno překonatelný terénní prvek, kterým člověk snadno překoná výškový rozdíl. Nad přístavem mezi mrakodrapy se též nachází pěší „pavučina“, z které člověk pozoruje celé město a přibližuje se výšce okolní zástavby. Také se snadno pěšky dostane ze starého Beirutu k moři. Předmětem řešení diplomové práce byl jeden z bloků v přístavu, obsahující 3 residenční mrakodrapy. V rámci diplomové práce byl detailně zpracován pouze jeden z nich obsahující 54 nadzemních podlaží a 2 podzemní. Nalezneme v něm rozsáhlý concierge servis pro residenty luxusních bytů, penthousů v nejvyšších podlažích, fitness a wellness, kavárnu, barbershop, aj. Jedná se o výškovou stavbu se železobenovým jádrem, superkonstrukcí a vnitřním železobetonovým skeletem. Přes celý objekt byl navržen druhý rozevlátý plášť, který vytváří příznivější vnitřní mikroklima pro uživatele objektu, příjemná závětří a také zvyšuje architektonickou atraktivitu celého objektu.

The subject of the proposal is a high-rise residential building in the Port of Beirut. The proposal is based on architectural and urban planning
study, which was processed as part of a pre-diploma project. This is the revitalization of the area destroyed by the explosion in 2020. To the explosion in
Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, experienced an explosion on August 4, 2020, when a large quantity of ammonium nitrate stored in a port exploded, causing at least 218 deaths, 7,000 injuries, $15 billion in property damage, and the displacement of around 300,000 people. The cargo of 2,750 tons of fabric had been stored in a warehouse without proper security measures for the previous six years after it was seized by Lebanese authorities from an abandoned ship. The explosion was preceded by a fire in the same warehouse, but as of September 2021, the exact cause of the detonation is still under investigation. Currently, the area is unused, the debris has not been cleared and the port is waiting for its new use. As part of the urban solution of the area, one of the main issues was the interruption of the height difference between the port and old Beirut. A very unfavorably located highway now runs in this place, which by its very existence forms a barrier between the city and the coast. Old Beirut is currently 12-15 meters higher than the port itself. We approached solving this problem by creating individual platforms within individual blocks. These create a gradual terrain element that is easy for pedestrians to overcome, with which a person can easily overcome the difference in height. There is also a pedestrian "web" above the harbor between the skyscrapers, from which one observes the entire city and approaches the height of the surrounding buildings. It is also an easy walk from old Beirut to the sea. The subject of the diploma thesis was one of the blocks in the port, containing 3 residential skyscrapers. Only one of them, containing 54 above-ground floors and 2 underground floors, was processed in detail as part of the diploma thesis. In it, we will find an extensive concierge service for residents of luxury apartments, penthouses on the highest floors, fitness and wellness, a cafe, a barbershop, etc. It is a high-rise building with a reinforced concrete core, a superstructure and an internal reinforced concrete skeleton. A second open shell was designed over the entire building, which creates a more favorable internal microclimate for the users of the building, a pleasant breeze and also increases the architectural attractiveness of the entire building.

Velká pozornost během návrhu byla věnována návrhu koncepce budovy
právě s ohledem na účinky větru. Účinky prudkého větru sníží tři
faktory: asymetrie tvaru věže, dynamický profil budovy a zaoblení
rohů pláště. Při procesu hledání optimálního tvaru budovy se v praxi
tvoří malé modely, které jsou následně zkoušeny ve větrném tunelu. Jedná se ale o velmi pracovně, finančně ale i časově náročnou činnost. V rámci diplomové práce se jedná pouze o teoretické zvážení tvaru. Tvar budovy byl zvažován i z hlediska úspornosti technické a ekonomické. Jde o snížení celkového odporu vůči větru ve srovnání s obdelníkovým tvarem. Nosný systém budovy tvoří svým obvodem tvar kónický, který je právě vůči těmto vlivům a hlediskům příznivější.

A lot of attention during the design was given to the design of the building concept precisely with regard to the effects of the wind. The effects of strong wind will be reduced by three
factors: asymmetry of the shape of the tower, dynamic profile of the building and roundness corners of the shell. In the process of finding the optimal building shape in practice they form small models that are subsequently tested in a wind tunnel. However, this is a very labour-intensive, financially and time-consuming activity. Within the framework of the thesis, it is only a theoretical consideration of the shape. The shape of the building was also considered from the point of view of technical and economic efficiency. This is a reduction in overall wind resistance compared to a rectangular shape. The supporting system of the building forms a conical shape with its circumference, which is more favorable to these influences and points of view.


NÁVRH DRUHÉHO PLÁŠTĚ /design of the second shell

Jelikož prvotní plášť objektu je tvořen lehkým obvodovým pláštěm, který umožňuje výhledy z bytů na město či otevřenost prostor, na objekt byl navržen ještě druhý plášť. Objekt se též nachází v Beirutě, což je město se stále vysokými teplotami, suchem a smogem. Mezi prvním a druhým pláštěm vniká proudění vzduchu pomocí komínového efektu - následkem je ochlazování fasády a vytváření příznivějšího mikroklima v budovách. Díky plášti též nedochází v parných dnech k přehřívání budovy. Z hlediska archiktektonického ztvárnění pláště, jsem přistupovala k tvaru dynamickému, který výškovému objektu dodá lehkost a atraktivitu. V úrovni terénu také vnikají příjemná zakrytá závětří, kde se človek může v horkém dni schovat.

Since the primary shell of the building is made up of a light perimeter shell, which allows views from the apartments to the city or the openness of the spaces, a second shell was designed for the building. The object is also located in Beirut, which is a city with still high temperatures, dryness and smog. Air flow enters between the first and second skins using the chimney effect - the result is cooling of the facade and creation of a more favorable microclimate in the buildings. Thanks to the shell, the building does not overheat on hot days. From the point of view of the architectural rendering of the shell, I approached the dynamic shape, which will add lightness and attractiveness to the high-rise building. At ground level there are also pleasant sheltered leeward windows where one can hide on a hot day.

Díky dynamickému tvaru prvního i druhého pláště je snížen odpor
větru a proudění je snazší. To snižuje požadavek na větší
množství konstrukcí navržených pro přenášení příčných sil. Druhý obvodový plášť též tvoří bariéru, proti tlaku větru kolmo na fasádu. Konstrukce je kotvena skrze LOP do nosné železobetonové
konstrukce ocelovými konzolami a táhly. Dále je nosná konstrukce druhého pláště kotvena v úrovni terénu do železobetonového stropu nad 1. nadzemním podlažím. Plášť je doplněn architektonicky vertikálními lamelami, které „stékají“ po plášti.

Thanks to the dynamic shape of the first and second casing, resistance is reduced wind and current is easier. This reduces the requirement for larger number of structures designed to carry transverse forces. The second outer shell also forms a barrier against wind pressure perpendicular to the facade. The structure is anchored through the LOP to the load-bearing reinforced concrete construction with steel brackets and tie rods. Furthermore, the supporting structure of the second shell is anchored at ground level to the reinforced concrete ceiling above the 1st above-ground floor. The shell is complemented by architecturally vertical slats that "flow" down the shell.

Vzhledem k výšce objektu je věž ohrožena nejen seizmickým zatížením, ale také větry vanoucími v létě od moře a v zimě od pevniny. Ty dle analýzy nedosahují žádných závratných hodnot. V jiných oblastech bychom se však mohli obávat významného faktoru ohrožující věže poškozením, nebo alespoň nadměrným rozkýváním. Velká pozornost během návrhu byla věnována návrhu koncepce budovy a právě její spolehlivosti s ohledem na účinky větru. Účinky prudkého větru sníží tři faktory: asymetrie tvaru věže, dynamický profil budovy a zaoblení rohů pláště. Při procesu hledání optimálního tvaru budovy se v praxi tvoří malé modely, které jsou následně zkoušeny ve větrném tunelu. Jedná se ale o velmi pracovně, finančně ale i časově náročnou činnost. V rámci diplomové práce se jedná pouze o teoretické zvážení tvaru. Tvar budovy byl uvažován i z hlediska úspornosti technické a ekonomické. Jde o snížení cellkového odporu vůči větru ve srovnání s obdelníkovým tvarem. S tím by došlo ke snížení nákladů na podpůrné konstrukce podporující tuhost objektu proti větru. Technicky je budova rozdělena do pěti samostatných úseků. Ty jsou od sebe odděleny technickými podlažími, kde se nachází pro následujících 10 podlaží veškerá technická vybavenost. V tomto podlaží se též nachází mohutné ztužení v podobě
megapříčlí - outriggers.

at least by excessive rocking. A lot of attention during the design was given to the design of the building concept and its reliability with regard to the effects the wind. The effects of high winds will be reduced by three factors: the asymmetry of the tower shape, the dynamic profile of the building and the rounding of the shell corners. In the process of finding the optimum small models of the shape of the building are created in practice, which are subsequently tested in a wind tunnel. But it is very labor-intensive, financially, but also time-consuming
demanding activity. Within the framework of the thesis, it is only a theoretical consideration of the shape. The shape of the building was also considered from the point of view of technical efficiency and
economic. This is a reduction of the cell's resistance to the wind compared to the rectangular shape. This would reduce support costs
structure supporting the rigidity of the object against the wind. Technically, the building is divided into five separate sections. They are separated from each other by technical floors, where all the technical equipment for the next 10 floors is located. On this floor there is also a massive reinforcement in the form mega transom - outriggers.

V případě navrhovaného objektu byla zvolena nosná konstrukce současné nejprogresivnější koncepce nazývané Core-Outrigger Mega Frame. Používat se začala při výstavbě sousední věže Ťin Mao před dvaceti lety a používá se ve stále sofistikovanější podobě u naprosté většiny vysokách mrakodrapů dnešní doby. Systém kombinuje robustní železobetonové/ocelobetonové jádro s obvodovými železobetonovými/ocelobetonovými megasloupy a doplňuje tyto vertikální prvky vodorovnými megapříčlemi (outriggers) a obvodovými ztužujícími pásy (belt trusses) do mimořádně odolných prostorových megarámů.

In the case of the proposed object, the support structure of the current most progressive concept called Core-Outrigger Mega Frame was chosen. It began to be used during the construction of the neighboring Jin Mao Tower twenty years ago and is used in an increasingly sophisticated form in the vast majority of tall skyscrapers today. The system combines a robust reinforced concrete/steel concrete core with peripheral reinforced concrete/steel concrete megacolumns and complements these vertical elements with horizontal megabeams (outriggers) and perimeter stiffening belts (belt trusses) into extremely durable spatial megaframes.

Centrálním prvkem konstrukčního systému je železobetonové jádro obdelníkového půdorysu o rozměrech 14,4x9,1 m doplněné vnitřními
železobetonovými stěnami. Ty tvoří ještě dodatečné ztužení celého jádra. Beton jádra je kromě vysokopevnostní betonářské výztuže v celé své výšce vyztužen zabetonovaným robustním skeletem z konstrukční oceli, v nejnižších zónách jsou masivními svařenci z ocelových plechů vyztuženy i stěny jádra. Kolem jádra je v prostoru půdorysu rozmístěno celkem šest doplňujících železobetonových sloupů. Jsou uspořádány symetricky, vždy dvojice v hlavních osách jádra. Po obvodu půdorysu objektu se nacházejí zmiňované megasloupy. I tyto megasloupy obsahují mohutné svařence z konstrukční oceli spřažené pomocí spřahujících trnů s masou okolního železobetonu. Ocelová jádra megasloupů jsou jejich primární nosnou a konstrukční částí. Společně s těmito sloupy spolupůsobí i průvlaky, které dotvážejí velice tuhý rám v rámci obvodu. Zatížení mezi obvodovou megakonstrukcí a železobetonovým jádrem vždy v rámci technického podlaží přenáší ztužení outriggers - megapříčle. Ty v ose navazují na stěny jádra a vytvářejí tak neporušitelný, velice staticky efektivní celek. Systém jádra, megasloupů a megapříčlí je ještě doplněn mohutnými ztužujícími robustními ocelovými pruty v rovině obodového pláště.

The central element of the structural system is a reinforced concrete core with a rectangular floor plan measuring 14.4x9.1 m, supplemented by internal

In addition to the high-strength concrete reinforcement, the core concrete is reinforced throughout its entire height with a concreted robust skeleton of structural steel, in the lowest zones, the walls of the core are also reinforced with massive welded steel sheets. A total of six additional reinforced concrete columns are distributed around the core in the area of ​​the floor plan. They are arranged symmetrically, always in pairs in the main axes of the nucleus. The aforementioned megacolumns are located around the perimeter of the building's floor plan. Even these megacolumns contain massive structural steel welds connected by means of connecting pins to the mass of surrounding reinforced concrete. The steel cores of the megacolumns are their primary load-bearing and structural parts. Together with these columns, the through-holes cooperate, which bring in a very rigid frame within the perimeter. The load between the perimeter megastructure and the reinforced concrete core is always transferred within the technical floor by stiffening outriggers - mega-transoms. They connect to the walls of the core in the axis and thus create an indestructible, very statically effective unit. The system of the core, mega-columns and mega-transoms is further complemented by massive stiffening, robust steel rods in the plane of the circumferential shell.
