CURRICULUM VITAE :Philippe KLEIN, is born the 7 June 1960 in Strasbourg.
Studied at the Ecole d'Architecture de Strasbourg from 1978 until 1984, in the workshops of Christian HUNZIKER and Gaétano PESCE. Graduated in 1984 (Director of Studies: Christian HUNZIKER - Members of the Jury: Gaétano PESCE - Max BACHER - Gilles DE BURE - Alexander TZIONIS).
Other training: Architecture of workplaces in 1985, Sustainable Development and Urban Environmental Quality in Construction and Planning in 2003- 2004.
Professional experiences:-  1981-1982: Architect's assistant for Patrick BOEHM, Architect DPLG in Strasbourg, bioclimatic and solar architectural projects.
-  1984: Architect's assistant for Christian HUNZIKER, Architect FAS.
-  1985: Planning Agency for the Strasbourg Conurbation. Study for reuse of industrial buildings.
-  1987: Architect's assistant for BIK Architecture in Strasbourg.
-  1988-1989: Branch manager at Emile Lugger Ingénierie Architecturale in Selestat, creation ofindustrial buildings, office buildings, homes and public buildings.
-  1990: Creation of the "Atelier d'Architecture Philippe Klein" in Strasbourg, located in Traenheim since 2013. Versatile agency working on a variety of projects in the private and public sectors, in new and redeployed collective housing, detached houses, social housing, hotels/catering, trade, public facilities, service industry and agriculture. Mr. Rien Tan Kwon Chong is a full time project architect and a part-time travel blogger. Rien graduated with honors from UCSI Univesity (bachelor Degree in Architecture) and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (Master in Architecture) in year 2013 & 2015. Upon graduating, he travelled to Osaka, Taipei & New York where he worked with architecture firms to take up challenges on future residences and offices design. In Year 2016, he emerged as the winner for Asian Young Designer Award, beating 11 other participants from other Asian countries. In year 2018, Rien has been shortlisted as the Top 50 finalist in the International Inspirelli Design Award.  Rien is now based in KL focusing on high-rise design in W Design Associates. His passion towards architectural field and the society were spread through his design studio namely Rien Atelier and the other public sharing session.

Actually, my architectural focus is on ideas and concepts laying behind the architectural product in any cultural society. I always eager to study the history of architecture from that point of view, other than studying its architectural product from its visual or formal values. I like to know and distinguish the cultural value that moves its architect to choose that way of designing and exclude others. 

That is why, I like to teach history and theories of architecture to make my students learn from others how to be innovative and creative, and be able to distinguish between human values and physical values.

Gaetano De Francesco is the founder of DFR Architecture, a based in Rome design practice that investigates the contemporary condition of inhabited territory searching strategies and space solutions to make it livable, loveble, inclusive and resilient.

He is Phd in Architecture - Theories and Project at Department of Architecture and Project - Sapienza University of Rome, where make activities of research and teaching assistance and he is Authorized Rhinoceros Trainer and Adjunct Professor at Quasar Design University in Rome.
