By comparing and exploring the discrepancies in spatial form, production demand, and resource flow between Japanese rural and urban areas, our team consider that the plan is endowed with obvious advantages over boosting the regional economy, upgrading urban infrastructure and balancing the rural population.
方案将以上述优势为目标，以东京涩谷为场地进行城市规划与建筑设计的系统测试。在规划层面上通过构建乡村分类系统与城市空间监测系统，实现城市与乡村土地之间的动态关联，解决前期的土地置换问题。同时建筑层面上通过对传统TOD模式解译并升级，聘请不同建筑师以街道为单位进行平面与立面两个方面的私人订制。以细分、置入、去除和变形四种操作手法进行空间改造。不同职业的村民们通过参与乡村的改造与宣传，激发城市中复合现象的发生，现象的序列将成为城市中无形的景观，联结着城市正在发生的一切。复古式的未来东京，由此呈现。

In respect of city planning, a dynamic correlation between urban and rural land is established by building a rural classification system and urban space monitoring system, thus the land replacement problem in the early stage can be resolved. Meanwhile, by deciphering and upgrading the traditional TOD mode for architecture, diverse architects will be invited to conduct private customization in both plan and elevation street by street, transforming the space by subdividing, inserting, removing and deforming. Through involving villagers of different professions on the reconstruction and promotion of rural areas, the compound phenomena in the city can be triggered. The sequence of phenomena will become an invisible landscape in the city, jointing what’s happening in the city. Thus a retro-style future Tokyo is presented.

The six linear research areas in the planning site show the symbiosis of the city and countryside via a collage. As villages are introduced to cities, the originally imagined collage scenario will gradually come true, which is also a prophecy on the urban-rural integration form in the future.
