Project idea

This project is situated in close proximity to a body of water, the concept of "fluidity" or "constant motion" serves as a guiding principle in our design exploration. Water, by its very nature, embodies fluidity, perpetually in motion and dynamically shaping its surroundings. The project seeks to capture this essence, not merely in mimicry, but in a profound architectural expression. Embracing the idea of fluidity, the aim is to craft a structure that seamlessly integrates with its natural context while also embodying the dynamic energy inherent in water. Just as water adapts to its container, this design endeavors to fulfill the fundamental needs of its inhabitants, dynamically shaping spaces to accommodate functionality, comfort, and aesthetic delight. Through a synthesis of form, function, and fluidity, our architectural vision seeks to evoke a sense of movement and vitality, echoing the perpetual dance of water that surrounds us.

Seamlessly blending with the Mediterranean's captivating coastline, our design embodies sustainability, innovation, and education. Through immersive exhibits and interactive zones, visitors embark on a journey to discover, connect, and protect our oceans. Dive deeper into the wonders of marine life, forging a new era of conservation and appreciation for Girne's coastal treasures.

Location and Site Characteristics:
Situated in Girne, North Cyprus, the facility occupies a waterfront site with direct access to the Mediterranean Sea.
Considerations for coastal erosion, sea level rise, and local environmental regulations should inform site planning and design.

Building Design and Construction:
Architectural style: Modern/ contemporary
Structural system: Utilize durable and weather-resistant materials suitable for coastal environments.
Incorporate sustainable design principles, including energy-efficient systems, passive cooling strategies, and renewable materials.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, seismic requirements, and accessibility standards.

Exhibition Galleries and Interactive Zones:
Include themed exhibits showcasing diverse marine habitats, interactive displays, and touch pools.
