The core idea of this design is appreciative, how she tries to combine two architectural styles in order to use their unique characteristics to create a modern and aesthetic ambiance for this villa. But it would be better if she could use more elements of Moroccan style than only using a same pattern on walls and other places in the project. We can't find more of a Moroccan style than only a few patterns,we can't find any color pallet that represents the Moroccan spirit in the project. The…

Hi Dylan, thank you for sharing your work The Ideal Villa. I observe your approach to the project is intertwined with the project's location and context with material, light play, respecting the natural terrain, and simple assembly. Certainly, utilising passive energy systems and resources is a crucial approach for a building planned away from the infrastructure. Materials, simple construction systems and leaving the interior design planning flexible have positive contributions to sustainable…

Although one appreciates your initiative to explain your form-making process, it would have been interesting to see other aspects of architecture explored much further. I struggle to understand the relevance of your goals due to insufficient context regarding the issue you are attempting to address through your architectural intervention. Therefore, a site analysis should have been useful. Indeed, the protrusion and recessing of facades help in breaking up what could have been a bulky form;…

Your urban analysis is comprehensive and well-illustrated, successfully informing us about the issues surrounding the canal. On that note, the constant use of analytical sections and annotated diagrammatic plans of the urban fabric is a very good strategy. Indeed, your proposition would purge the area of many sorts of pollution and revitalise the area with activities that would give more ‘right to the city’ to people than to motorised vehicles. This is a sensible thing to do in urban design. …

Dear Tasmia, The proposed A Hub for Entrepreneurship and Dormitory Living project respects the urban structure of the given location. With its mass, volume and block structure, the project follows on from the neighboring East West University. This chosen solution helps the integration into the already existing urban structure and its regeneration. The total mass of the block is successfully captured by its staggered floors that provide views. In the project, I appreciate the emphasis placed…
