Multi Unit Housing projects feedbacks

The topic chosen by the author is very relevant and interesting. Architects from around the world have been trying for years to find the best solution to the problem of affordable housing. The author managed to create a rather pretty concept of the village of budget housing, proving that cheap does not mean ugly. The village came out quite cozy. However, the author should pay a little more attention to the layouts of residential buildings, there is insufficient width of communication passages…

I really liked this project. Of course, the creation of a universal residential module with a single united public space is an idea that has been haunting the minds of many architects since the beginning of the 20th century. Unlike most architects, the author of the project did not deprive residents of their own kitchen or common room for the sake of public spaces. I am somewhat missing the functional solution of the first floor in order to analyze the possible centers of gravity of the…

This project includes some important contemporary themes (healthcare, energy, and economical issues) and works well to integrate them into the urban context of Beirut. In the prologue, please add argumentation to your claims so that the background to your project and the choice of the site are well communicated ("the most famous port ever" is not enough to communicate the idea to a wide audience). The underground tunnel makes an interesting conceptual bridge between the city and the port. The…

The project is well presented through description and drawings. On urban design level, from the first look, it gives impression as it’s target the residential investment more then the port development as the large scale of land use. For the land use distribution, it was needed to have more relation between the passenger terminal and the port as they both needs authority control. For the water canals between residential areas and the closed sea area in front of memorial zone, it need more…

The project is an interesting position on redefining mix use and vertical living. It questions the design response to high density, poor territorial planning and lack of infrastructure. The comments are structured at two scales: I. Site layout Plan: The project centres around the open spaces, river as a featured element. The source and regular maintenance issues need to be thought as much. The techniques of collecting rain water from roofs and collection can be undertaken in the river. River…

Dear Huanyu! The first impression of your project is very good. The sheet is formed compositionally right. I like the idea of creating a residential cell with the possibility of increasing and transforming it. In a minimal area, you use the space very efficiently. The interior looks minimalistic and modern. However, it seems to me that the wood you proposed for finishing is not a cheap material, and you position your project primarily as an inexpensive housing. The capsule itself, as an…

The project as a conceptual design is looks good with its theme and concept and also through the distribution of land uses in relation to the surrounding context but in detail, it was not clear enough to show the circulation networks between vehicles and pedestrians, public spaces and service circulation in addition to the different relation between private, semi private and public zones. The use of the dome with huge scale is not logic especially from structure, environment and the need for…

The project deals with one of the possible directions of the modern urbanism, the development of democratic architecture. The Czech city of Ostrava is an old center with industrial history and is the heart of the second largest urban agglomeration in the country. Peripheral areas of such cities usually need an actual rethinking of urban development, and economical architectural solutions are inscribed in this context. The principles of democratic architecture make it possible to level the…
