Any participant in the INSPIRELI AWARDS competition can ask a member of the international jury for feedback on his/her competition project. Jurors are assigned across continents at a ratio of one juror per student. The resulting gallery is a unique architecture textbook, created free of charge by those who wish to participate in our project and contribute their work to the education of the up and coming generation. Thank you for the comprehensive design submission for the senior housing project in Seoul. Integrating the courtyard spaces with the surrounding urban fabric to create a harmonious living environment for the elderly is well-considered. You have thoughtfully addressed the unique needs of the aging population while promoting inclusivity and community engagement. Strengths 1. The analysis of the aging demographics in South Korea and the emphasis on fostering intergenerational connections through…

Hi Zakia Haque Maliha. Interesting project. But I would like to know more. I see that your site analysis is done but some text to explain your exploration and findings would be very helpful to understand your decision making. Can you elaborate on the chosen site? Why is it significant, why place a civic centre here? All the best. Holding thumbs for you

Your urban analysis is comprehensive and well-illustrated, successfully informing us about the issues surrounding the canal. On that note, the constant use of analytical sections and annotated diagrammatic plans of the urban fabric is a very good strategy. Indeed, your proposition would purge the area of many sorts of pollution and revitalise the area with activities that would give more ‘right to the city’ to people than to motorised vehicles. This is a sensible thing to do in urban design. …

Many times, we tend to move towards new enterprises in our social development while leaving behind a trail of unresolved issues. We keep reaching out for new solutions as if we hope that the issues left behind will magically disappear, only to find that the further we go, the bigger the problems left behind us become. This is why I would like to commend you for having the courage to look back into the shadow that the past modern era cast on our societies today. By addressing the consequences…

Dear Yingkai, The STAY CONNECTED project deals with the connection between the residential area and the university campus in a very interesting way. I appreciate the design and location of this innovative center precisely between this border of two different territories where different innovations can take place. These site boundaries are the most suitable for these kinds of projects. I also highly appreciate the volume solution of the entire ensemble in relation to the surrounding buildings…

Firstly, I would like to congratulate the project and for tackling such an important topic in these times as the revitalisation of degraded areas. It has been a pleasure to analyse this project and it points in the right direction to exploit the potential of a neglected area in the city centre. Bringing a degraded part of the city back to life and complementing it with new functions is a very good direction in creating multifunctional facilities in areas in need of revitalisation. The lump of…

The intention to consider the community and the river as integral parts of the project is certainly appreciable. Moreover the idea of creating the large public community open space to keep the connection with the Nile is also interesting. However, these intentions could be further materialized through reducing the massive structures and ensuring wider view of the river from the city through the site.

The complexity of the design and composition are clear. The idea of giving a new life and identity to the market are very interesting, as is the design approach used. The use of images of the market in colonial times and the timeline reinforce and design choices and demonstrate the study and research carried out before arriving at the design solution presented. The materials used are perfectly in keeping with the context The sections explain well the relationship with the context, which is…
