Thank you for providing an overview of your project, "Interconnect: Knowledge Hub in Kandy." Based on the information provided, I can offer the following feedback: Strengths 1. Contextual response: The project seems to stem from a thoughtful analysis of the existing site conditions, underutilization of space, and the need for a proper entrance and wayfinding. Responding to contextual needs is a commendable approach. 2. Adaptive reuse: Incorporating and repurposing the historical police…

Your urban analysis is comprehensive and well-illustrated, successfully informing us about the issues surrounding the canal. On that note, the constant use of analytical sections and annotated diagrammatic plans of the urban fabric is a very good strategy. Indeed, your proposition would purge the area of many sorts of pollution and revitalise the area with activities that would give more ‘right to the city’ to people than to motorised vehicles. This is a sensible thing to do in urban design. …

Firstly, I would like to congratulate the project and for tackling such an important topic in these times as the revitalisation of degraded areas. It has been a pleasure to analyse this project and it points in the right direction to exploit the potential of a neglected area in the city centre. Bringing a degraded part of the city back to life and complementing it with new functions is a very good direction in creating multifunctional facilities in areas in need of revitalisation. The lump of…

The use of images of the market in colonial times and the timeline reinforce and design choices and demonstrate the study and research carried out before arriving at the design solution presented. The materials used are perfectly in keeping with the context The sections explain well the relationship with the context, which is…

The implementation of such a project implies a broader look. This project must be a generator symbol of new energy, a place of meeting, exchange of opinions and integration not only for the community but also for possible visitors and tourists. From this premise we have to take into account the context as it has been described, it stands between two lakes, a fantastic and evocative place by its nature, the building has to relate to the landscape not only through the large windows but also…
