Project idea

Zen garden is meant to embody serenity and inspire reflection. These gardens are an embodiment of the philosophy and practice of Zen Buddhism.

Project description

Zen gardens were created at temples of Zen Buddhism in Kyoto during the Muromachi period. They were intended to imitate the essence of nature, not its actual appearance, and to serve as an aid for meditation.

Technical information

Zen garden is a spare, somewhat abstract arrangement of rocks, gravel, and minimal greenery .
