The aim is to provide them with multi-comfort. "The Gear" is toothed wheels that work together, like a mechanism which works for the architecture and phylosophy of sustainable and multicomfort environment.

Project description

The concept is designed to take advantage of the valuable waterfront by making a small bay in the
middle of the site. Public space is located on the waterfront side of the site, which extends into the water on water pathways. These pathways/ footbridges respect the historical heritage of the site by being designed
to be used as boat pier or fishing place. The pathways are distributed along all the coast of the site and
connected with inland pathways, creating a vibrant and easily accessible place. It also connects different
parts of the site visually and functionally. Partially the pathways are used also as shades to make a
comfortable area during the harshest summers. The concept is based on human well-being and space they need to feel good. Inspired by Arabic geometry and fractal geometry and according to functionality there are created shapes of the buildings to provide people with privacy and safety.

Technical information

There are materials used based on the climate. Materials don't heat the building, neither outside, neither inside. There are shading elements used to protect residents from the heat. Facade of the buildings is designed with shading elements to provide people with thermal and acoustic comfort. Those elements reflect the sound as well. And also people can open and close them to adjust the daylight depending on their need. They are made of composite material.
