Cemetery in the middle of the Tacna desert

Project idea

The idea of the cemetery was born looking for a different way of seeing cemeteries, looking for a sense that they are not necessarily places of sadness or nostalgia, but to give an approach that is a place where you can connect with them. The proposed cemetery does not seek to adopt criteria of any religion in particular, is based on different forms of philosophical thoughts on death taking as criteria "the divine comedy" where the central ecumenical chapel is the door to connect to heaven. In addition, different types of funerals are adopted as well as funeral services such as cremation or promessión.

Project description

The project is composed of florist services, funeral home, cafeteria, marble workshops, carpentry and ceramics, a crematory, promessión, laboratories where the ashes can be converted into diamonds, an ecumenical chapel, burial ground, burial niches and mausoleums, ossuary, columbarium, promession zone, crypt, common ash and common grave.
