Project idea

Concept: FISH (Head - Cultural Center / Body - Student complex). In terms of design, the object is designed as a circular form. The object tends not to burden, but it definitely defines the space, in the way that the previously constructed structure in the environment requires it.
In order to harmonize the object with the surrounding built-up surfaces and the sides of the world, account was taken of the orientation of the object in relation to the parameters of the specific location.

Project description

The building is conceived as a kind of student complex with a cultural-educational center. The emphasis is on promoting special workshops that will promote the affirmation of modern art, theater, music and fine arts education. Also, in this center, young people will have access to information that will enable them to choose their future consciously. The entrance to the building is from Thessaloniki Street. Vertical communication is provided in the form of stairways and elevators that provide connection between all floors.
The student complex is conceived as a set of bedrooms designed for students and visiting professors, reading room, library, hall, outdoor ground with the possibility of an open amphitheater.
One of the goals of this project is to clear the identity and continuity of urban development of this part of the city, as well as to improve the quality of the environment and urban values ​​in accordance with the new trend development of this area, as well as the new principles and standards of life itself in the city.

Technical information

The structural concept of the building is based on reinforced concrete pillars based on the reinforced concrete base plate as primary and reinforced concrete beams as secondary structural elements. The inter-floor construction between all floors is a reinforced concrete slab. The structural walls of the staircase, just stairs, are also made of reinforced concrete.
The facility provides for all standard installations that include this type of facility: water supply and sewage installations, thermotechnical installations, electrical installations.
