Project idea

Business space "Central", originally - the hotel "Central", built to order Yekaterinodar merchants brothers Bogarsukovs in the late XIX century, is a monument of architecture of regional importance. Year of construction - 1878. The building was reconstructed in 1910 by architect A. A. Kozlov. "Central" - is a rectangular building with a closed inner courtyard. The main facade overlooks the central square of the city. The designed interior is a three-story space. On the first floor there is an entrance group and several rooms used for shops and cafes. The main staircase leads to the second and third floors. On the second floor with a separate entrance is a conference room. The space of the 2 nd and 3 rd floors occupy office premises organized according to the stored planning corridor scheme.

The main concept of the renovation of the building of the Business space "Central" is not only the preservation of the historical appearance of the building with more than a century of history, but also the adaptation of its premises to modern functions. We set the task - to identify and emphasize the multilayeredness and beauty of the internal structure of the structure, including the preserved details, such as, for example, stair railings.
The basic design principle is a harmonious combination and interpenetration of the old and the new. Artistic image, contrasting in its essence - reliability and tectonics, and at the same time - openness and permeability. Calmness and emotionality. Movement - as a movement of light, in the architectural solution of the interior - is the simultaneous work of natural and artificial lighting. The associative - semantic image of the project is a museum, a theater, a gallery, a club. A place where people can, inside, interact with the building, feel comfort, exist precisely in space, in space with a special atmosphere - alive, bright, memorable. Functional variability, plasticity of interiors is one of the necessary conditions for the customer of the renovation project and adaptation of the "Central" building. Hence - the diversity, not only in the combination of materials and textures, but also several lighting scenarios, absolutely for all spaces. The design task - guided by information about the features that constitute the subject of protection, to breathe new life into the building, combining history and modernity. Plastic and color solutions of interiors are contrasting and contribute to the identification of historical architectural and constructive elements. Light solutions work to unite and dialogue between the premises of the "Central". From each point of the interior space, a perspective is opened, which is emphasized by light solutions, both in vertical and horizontal directions. Light pervades the entire building. Very important, we decided to run natural light into the corridors of the former hotel (the corridor system is a historical constructive and planning solution), so all the doors are made of translucent or transparent materials, and the ceilings are made to the maximum height and decorated with "floating" lights in the air. The hidden illumination gives the whole interior lightness and couloirity, and directional LED lights give an opportunity to focus on any element of the interior, whether it is pictures, photographs or interesting elements of old brickwork.
The core of the interior is the grand staircase, the key accent of which is the crystal chandelier, made by the customer according to the sketches of the architects. The chandelier is a stylistic "harbinger" of the next to the staircase of the main hall (conference hall) with preserved historical decoration and grand classical chandeliers on the ceiling. The interior of the Central is a game of air and light, austerity and splendor of the premises. Self-sufficiency of interiors creating a bright and impressive image.
"Central" after renovation, not just business space - this is a bright point of attraction of social life in Krasnodar. Since the opening of the updated "Central" concentrated a large number of important and interesting events.
