Project idea

Today, cities formation, urbanization development and new communities emergence with modern lifestyle encountered a growing trend. This accelerated process of urbanization and cities development in vertical and horizontal directions and emergence of multitude towers and buildings regardless of neighborhood relationships resulted in destroyed social interactions.

Project description

. Malek district is one of the old districts of Kerman city. It is located close to Ganjalikhan market. Regarding historical and valuable spaces of Malek district, it considered as an important monument in architecture identity of Kerman city. Due to the market progress in recent years, it faced drastic structural and applied changes. Since the market is close to Malek district and due to the market pressure and lack of recreational and cultural spaces for enhancing social interactions, original residents are reluctant to this district. As a result, working and activity overcome to residence in recreational space. The purpose of the present thesis is to design the district center close to Malek mosque and enhance social interactions.
