First look, DARING DESIGN! something out of the box!
Good composition and example of juxtaposition for the site.
However, when we look into the details, there is not much exploration in term of the interior space as well as spatial design. The building design only consists of 3 boxes stagging up and rotating the angle towards the view.
It will be better if the student can design the building in section and 3D where there is more exploration in term of the visitor and user journey.
The student should look into more design aided diagram or sketches to help to explain the design concept as well as design development. I would appreciate if the site analysis can be explain more to enhance the concept by having such form. The project offer alternative space for leisure and learning. However, looking into the interior design, it is merely just a box cantilevered and hanging on the sky. Fenestration, opening design of the building facade should be considered to increase the daylight and ventilation into the building as well as the building performance. I feel it less interactive and excited after looking into the details. Perhaps the student has spend more time to explore the WOW architect by having such structure. When we look into the details layout, there is more practical items need to be taken into consideration in term of the support as well as fire travel distance.
Overall is a good exploration of design but after all, i would encourage the students to STAY FOCUS.
start local, aim global! Always ask yourself what the user ( student/ lecturer in this case) want, not what you as an architectural designer want.. Highly encourage the student to look into more design principle and space quality.

The idea of the project came from the concept of dialectics. The dialectic between change and permanence produces a scale of situations that forms the basis for a union between the two. This scale contains the daily and festive encounters of the city and the academy- STU, which is nourished by the local environment - the city and the global environment - the world. The absorption that takes place in the study space is processed and emits its actions into the world, thus seeking to reflect the dynamism, innovation and changes that take place where there is a minimal contact with the ground and a new interpretation is formed to the existing.
The project offers alternative space and passage, that invites ‘entry’ to stay for a short or long time, for leisure and learning.
Through 3 prisms with variable transparency that grips 3 vertical bodies and horizontal leisure plains, an interior landscape - an urban campus is created. The panoramic view allows a sight of the different parts of the city, the mountain and the river. It also provides new perspectives on what is happening in the ground layer and the layers above it.
At all hours of the day and night, the student, researcher and guest will find an accessible and available space where they can enjoy diverse meeting places to acquire knowledge, exchange ideas and have fun. The physical space gives passers-by an opportunity to experience the changes that takes place in the permanent space from the perception that ” there is nothing permanent other than change” (Hercalitus).
3 vertical bodies made of concrete and steel shell. The bodies circulation systems passes through external public spaces, existing roofs and horizontal prisms.
3 prisms offers variable Situations defined by different levels of transparency. The prisms elevation are of smart glass shell that adapts itself to the penetration of sunlight, according to seasons and time of day.
The prisms structure uses a exposed trusses system that allows open plan design.
