Project idea

The popularity of any building can be measured by the amount of interaction with people and creating a strong mental image.
As a result of this Viewpoint, we tried to create a section for a direct and unrestricted access to the tower to provide Effective interaction of people with the building .So in addition to the usual hotel users, people in the context can use the tower. For this section , we considered a vertical garden on the top of the tower with exposed structure .
Also To create a strong mental image of the building , we tried to create a suspended sense in the form of building . this sense is provided with 12 cubes that surrounded with diagrid structures And it's connected to the core of the building.

Project description

RCubes hotel has designed in the downtown Tehran next to the crowded park (LALEH park). We designed extra core next to the park side to reinforce interaction with people in the LALEH park around the building.This public core makes a direct access to public functions and hanging garden on top of the tower . All people can experience a hanging vertical garden beside the horizontal park !
There are two restaurant beside the vertical garden on the top of the tower . On the other hand we tried to create a particular mental image with the form of suspended cubes . The form of the tower provides different views on Tehran city and green terraces between the stories.
There are two concrete cores . One of them provides vertical access
for hotel users and the other one for all people who want go to the vertical garden and restaurants on the top of the tower .

Technical information

The tower has 35 story . The main structure includes two concrete cores and 14 steel columns.The hanging cubes are surrounded by a diagrid structures. The structure of cubes are joined to the main structure.
The structure of the building consists of three parts. The concrete cores , diagrid structure and steel moment frames .
Green terraces with double-skin facade are designed for hotel rooms .
