Design of the house unifying the Těšín city. (Czech Cieszyn and Cieszyn).

Project description

Dům propojuje všechny přilehlé prostory a cesty vně i vevnitř objektu.

Těšín is the former capital of the Těšín Principality, its historical and cultural roots ensure its stability for the future - unlike most of the surrounding towns that are based on industry (in today's form of retreat). New facts are emerging from the urban study - places that are important in the structure of the "dual city" - have a high potential but are now forgotten. By grasping them (by suitable building) it is possible to connect the Těšín. In this way, I design a house for the citizens of Těšín society, a house that can create an opposition to the irreconcilable political leadership of the Polish and Czech parts of Těšín. The house combines several height levels, several streets. The core of the house is a vertical covered "square" as a space opened across all floors, with features that correspond to the different characters of the associated outer space from which it enters. The house connects all adjacent spaces and streets both inside and outside the building. Functions are chosen with respect to the objective of connecting civil society, their development and cultivation - the hierarchy of functions is arranged vertically and suitably adjacent to the different inputs.

Technical information

The object adapts itself to the function, shape and structure of the surrounding space, creating a not quite simple shape for both construction and interior layout. The construction is solved by joining the internal reinforced concrete structure and the outer waterproofing layer of the Technolith lightweight concrete (white and polished concrete inside and out) in order to ensure the integrity of the shape of the transition walls in the roof.
