Architecture shouldn't only be used for "beautiful and luxurious" buildings. Architecture should be about sending a message, about making modern housing accessible to everyone, solving housing problems in poor neighborhoods, implementing all needed functions (schools, recreation centers..) to make that neighborhood auto-sufficient, to rehabilitate poor neighborhoods into a safe, sustainable, auto sufficient neighborhood.

arq&art is an architectural firm specializing in architectural projects, interior design and civil engineering. Since November 2010 we have been working in the field of architecture and engineering. Our activities are focused on finding the best solution for project execution, developing quality and responsible work, always focusing on a satisfactory final result.

My architectural approach is oriented in the structuring of the form.

Architecture is both the method and product of arranging, planning, and developing shape, space, and climate that reflect useful, specialized, social, and stylish considerations. Urbanization is more than the development and physical expansion of cities. It could be a handle that changes regions, changes existing reciprocities and sets up unused connections between diverse places.So my architectural focus is based on the value of sustainable urbanization, centering on the foremost up-to-date and squeezing points. Analyzing the natural value of cities in creating financial success, moderating natural corruption, reducing social imbalance, and building more grounded institutions, together these can drive transformative alter.

Ana Luisa Rolim is an architect and educator, with experiences encompassing architectural design practice in the U.S. and Brazil, as well as, design studio teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels. Her recent published work has focused on architectural morphology, the interface between architecture and neuroscience, generative and digital design, as support towards the critical understanding of design methodologies, museum spaces, modern architecture and social housing.
